We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Network & Computer Systems Administrator to join our team and help maintain, secure, and improve our technology infrastructure.

Position Overview

The Network & Computer Systems Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, monitoring, and security of Aspen Capital’s computer systems and network infrastructure.

This role will work closely with employees, management, vendors, and technology partners to ensure that systems remain reliable, secure, available, and properly configured.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on IT professional who enjoys troubleshooting, solving technical problems, improving infrastructure, and supporting users in a fast-paced business environment.

Key Responsibilities

Network Administration

  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and other network infrastructure.
  • Manage network switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and related technologies.
  • Monitor network performance, availability, and security.
  • Configure and maintain VLANs, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, routing, and network security policies.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and network access issues.
  • Maintain accurate network diagrams, IP address documentation, and infrastructure records.

Systems Administration

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows workstations and servers.
  • Manage Microsoft Windows Server environments and Active Directory.
  • Create and manage user accounts, security groups, permissions, and access policies.
  • Support Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and related services.
  • Manage endpoint configuration, software installation, patching, and system updates.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.

Cyber Security

  • Assist with maintaining the security of corporate systems, endpoints, networks, and accounts.
  • Implement and maintain security controls, access policies, MFA, endpoint protection, and firewall policies.
  • Monitor security alerts and investigate potential security incidents.
  • Apply security patches and updates in a timely manner.
  • Assist with security assessments, vulnerability remediation, and IT compliance initiatives.
  • Educate employees on cybersecurity best practices when needed.

IT Support

  • Provide Tier 1–3 technical support to employees.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, printer, email, and application issues.
  • Configure and deploy computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding of employees, including account creation, equipment deployment, and access removal.
  • Maintain IT asset and inventory records.
  • Work with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues.

Backup & Disaster Recovery

  • Monitor and maintain backup systems for critical servers, applications, and data.
  • Assist with disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Verify backup integrity and investigate backup failures.
  • Help ensure critical business systems can be restored when necessary.

Documentation & Infrastructure Management

  • Maintain documentation for systems, network infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures for common IT tasks.
  • Assist with technology projects, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.
  • Maintain relationships with technology vendors and service providers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in systems or network administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Windows Server.
  • Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, and network troubleshooting.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting firewalls, switches, and wireless networks.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:

    • Microsoft 365 administration
    • Azure / Microsoft Entra ID
    • Fortinet or similar enterprise firewalls
    • Cisco, UniFi, or similar networking platforms
    • VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms
    • Backup and disaster recovery solutions
    • Endpoint management and RMM platforms
    • Microsoft Intune
    • PowerShell scripting
    • Cybersecurity tools and endpoint protection platforms
    • VoIP / IP telephony systems
    • Cloud infrastructure and SaaS applications
    • IT service management / help desk platforms

Certifications

Industry certifications are preferred but not required.
